Rainbow fun

Since summer has started and the Big Slide in Estes reopened after the flood, we've gone on it a few times.  What fun to slide down the rainbow!

For Father's Day we decided to do a little project for D.  M got us paints and we decided to use every color in the package.
 Such pretty rainbow hands!!
After we finished D's shirt, M let us paint a tank top also.
 Finished projects.

Summer skiing!!

Yes, you are reading that date right. On June 1st, M went skiing with Uncle W.
It was a beautiful summer day and what better way to spend it then doing winter sports!

There was only three lifts open, but that was enough to have a little bit of fun.  In the morning the snow was still pretty icy, but as the day progressed the snow got better.
For lunch, the patio of mid-mountain was a perfect place to stop.
Because it was June, we saw quite a few people in shorts, bikini tops, swimsuits or shirtless, but the two girls we saw in complete bikinis probably took the cake.  Although later in the day we did see a banana ski by, with a gorilla after it!!

What a great way to spend the day!

Memorial day camping

Memorial Day weekend was the first time we got to take out our new camper and try it.
While M&D were loading, M noticed a leak running across the floor of the camper.  So we quickly took it back to the dealer and they were able to fix the hoses under the sink.  C&I had a good time playing in the fresh water as they had to drain the tank.  It delayed us by about 3 hours, but were were still able to get up by late afternoon.
Enjoying our space.  The front of the camper--bedroom, bathroom and kitchen is M's space, but the back of the camper by the couch beds and storage area is ours to play in without M having to trip over us or our toys!
First night sleep in our camper!  What a great night sleep, without the wind whipping around any canvas and the heat actually staying inside and not escaping out through cracks in any tent!
We were even able to leave the beds down and eat on the table at the end of them.
C&I playing in the dirt.
Ready for our ATV ride.
C and I picked some pretty flowers for M to help her decorate her new kitchen!
It was a small group this year, just us and Uncle L.
During one of our first rides we found a rock formation to climb.  It was very fun.

C was very helpful, gathering firewood for the fire.
She even helped Uncle l dig out the pit.
Uncle W decided after a day of skiing to come join us as well.
We even provided the campfire entertainment.

Sunday we had a few hailstorms come through.  Again the new camper kept us warm and dry.  M is in love with it and is so excited to use it!

Year-End Activities

At the end of the year, we had lots of fun activities to celebrate our hard work.  The first one was a picnic in the park for C's preschool.  Because of cold weather and snow the first week of May, it was rescheduled for the next week, which also happened to be my year-end class party.  So we made an appearance at both, bringing our own food to the picnic.
We took some time for playing and pictures, before going the half block up to the school for my party.

Getting ready for a year-end video celebration.
Then the next day, I had my field day where we played games.

Then for the last day of Sunday School we had a potluck and some water balloon fun afterwards!

The last day of school!!
The last day of school, we had a pizza party at the Y for After-School activities.
