Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to Uncle L's house, because C didn't leave us enough room in her house!

The best part of the Thanksgiving Dinner was the pumpkin pie for dessert.  It was so good, I had to eat it with both hands, just to make sure I got every bite!
Even leftover cool whip is great!

World of Color

For the first snowfall in October, I got to paint the snow after school.  It was really fun.  When we got home M tried it with kool-aid.  That didn't work nearly as well.
I took it upon myself this fall to "paint" my playhouse.  Isn't it beautiful?
M and D helped C and I make boxes for Operation Christmas Child this year.  We each made one box and took them to church, where altogether 30+ boxes were collected.
Hopefully a little girl somewhere will have just as much fun as I do playing with Play-dough.
Aren't those the biggest bluest eyes you've ever seen?

Night at the Y

Since D was still working nights in mid November and M had an all day training on the other facility, we decided to just spend the night at the Y and enjoy the hour we would have together before bed.  C and I found our bed right away.
It was a quaint little cabin, with the bedrooms right next to each other.  The living room had a love seat just big enough to sit on and read.
Since we were right on property for the bus pick-up we were able to sleep in a little bit and eat breakfast quick.  It was a nice little cabin even if M didn't get a lot of sleep with girls we didn't like the darkened cabin or sleeping in their own rooms.

Halloween

We had lots of fun for Halloween this year.  The Saturday before Halloween we dressed up and went downtown Loveland to the Fall Festival.  Both C and I were princesses.  She was the "pretty princess" and I was the "fairy princess".

There were games to play and lots of treats to get at all the different vendor booths.  M likes going because the Y has a table there and it is always nice to stop and say, "hello."
After leaving all the booths, we walked a couple blocks to various businesses who were giving out candy.  I stopped to take a picture by a statue.
On Halloween both C and I were busy.  C got to go trick-or-treating around the Y departments with her classmates.  She was still debating even Halloween morning about what she wanted to be--princess or cowgirl.  So M took both costumes to school and C ended up being a princess again.
I had a Halloween party at my school.  I wanted to be a witch, so I went with M to find a hat and cape. Even though I was wearing black I made sure to let M know that I was a nice witch.  We played games and made crafts.  D even came to help.

Since D was busy that evening, M decided to keep us in Estes for the town celebration.  M had never done it before and was very impressed.  It really is a whole town affair. The fire trucks and ambulances were there.  The ambulance was a mini haunted house.
One of the street windows had the presidential candidates singing and dancing.  C got really into watching them and joined in.

After getting so much candy, M decided to make sure we got some "healthy" food!!!
