Fun with birthday toys

I had some help opening my present from G&G.

I also had some help in playing with it!

I had a lot of fun with the beads Aunt M gave me.

My first creation was for my sister.

Birthday girl

This year was a big birthday for me as I turned 6. Since my birthday was on a Sunday my last day in the nursery was the week before.

Last day of being 5.

A big 6 years old!

Since my birthday fell on a Sunday, the congregation sang Happy Birthday to me.

I also asked I to help me sing a special number during the service.

Swim Party

For my birthday party, I invited my friends to join me at the lake. We swam and enjoyed the water before heading up for an ice cream treat and presents.

All that playing in the water made us hungry!!

Hiking

It's been a busy summer, but we were able to go on one hike this summer.

The trail along the river was a lot shorter than M thought (it was just a fisherman route to the river from the parking lot), so we moved onto a hike that climbed a little further up the canyon.

We didn't make it to the top of the mountain, but we did find an overlook with a good view.

In June, on their way to moving to CA, Aunt S and Uncle S stopped in CO. While there were here, M helped Aunt S's family plan a baby shower for them. The fact that they were having a baby came as a surprise since they've had lots of troubles. Then at the 20-week appointment another surprise when they found there was not just one baby girl but two!
